ABOUT LSC INTERNATIONAL

The mission of LSC International is to offer online resources to researchers in the field of liquid scintillation counting, and to provide access to an archive of downloadable publications incorporating over 50 years of LSC research.

The global network of LSC researchers and users is vast.  Although it has no official governing body, the group has assembled every few years since 1957 in an international conference to share and publish information on the latest advances in the science. Each of these conferences has resulted in a volume of academic proceedings, yet the older proceedings are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain, either being out of print or removed from libraries.

LSC International preserves the large body of LSC knowledge into one accessible online location.  Publications are offered in the format of a searchable database, giving researchers the opportunity to download and print individual articles or textbooks of interest at no charge. Links to other websites of potential interest are provided, and will be expanded in months to come. It is envisioned that the site will also eventually offer a forum for sharing ideas and asking questions, for posting research/employment opportunities, and for obtaining or disposing of used equipment.

Created in May 2008 by the Center for Applied Isotope Studies, University of Georgia, this website is still very much a work-in-progress. We welcome your input, and hope that you will find these resources useful in your research endeavors. Please feel free to contact us at webmaster@lsc-international.org.
